KODANO Optyk, one of Poland’s fastest-growing optical retail chains, has joined the tenant line-up at Gemini Park Tychy. Its opening strengthens the health and beauty category, currently one of the fastest-growing segments of the shopping centre market.

The new optical store occupies more than 80 sq m and has been designed in line with the chain’s latest concept, built around a modern look and visitor comfort. The bright interior, combining white finishes, black steel and natural wood, creates a welcoming space for both choosing frames and consulting eye care specialists.

The store offers prescription frames and sunglasses from renowned brands such as Ray-Ban, Vogue, Michael Kors, Emporio Armani and Hugo Boss. The range is complemented by contact lenses and accessories for their care and everyday use. An extensive product display, modern diagnostic facilities and support from experienced specialists allow solutions to be tailored precisely to individual needs.

“Our concept combines high-quality optical services with an extensive product range. We want to offer customers convenience and a comprehensive experience, so they can have an eye examination, receive professional advice and choose the glasses or contact lenses best suited to their needs, all in one place. This model allows us to combine specialist expertise with shopping convenience and meet the expectations of today’s consumers,” says Karol Kożusznik, Board Member and Expansion and Development Director at KODANO Optyk.

The opening of KODANO Optyk aligns with Gemini Park Tychy’s tenant mix development strategy, which focuses on strengthening categories that meet visitors’ everyday needs and reflect the growing importance of health and wellbeing services. For many months, health and beauty has been among the fastest-growing segments in shopping centres. According to the Polish Council of Shopping Centres, nationwide sales in this category increased by 5.7% in the first quarter of 2026. At Gemini Park Tychy, year-on-year growth reached 5.9%, exceeding the market average.

– Health and beauty services are playing an increasingly important role in our centre’s offering, which is why we are consistently developing this part of our tenant mix. We see that consumers are looking for places that combine specialist advice with access to high-quality brands and products. KODANO Optyk meets these expectations perfectly, offering a convenient, comprehensive service model and a recognisable brand that complements our offering – says Joanna Pączek (Roda), Senior Leasing Manager at Gemini Holding.

KODANO Optyk is a Polish brand developed since 2016 by KODANO.pl, the owner of Poland’s largest contact lens store and the Soczewkomat network of contact lens vending machines. Today, the brand is one of the leaders in Poland’s optical market, with nearly 120 stores nationwide and almost 20 locations in Central and Eastern European markets.
