Gemini Park Tarnów is set to gain a new space dedicated to sport and recreation. Xtreme Fitness Gyms, Poland’s largest fitness club chain, will join the centre’s tenant line-up. The opening will broaden the property’s role, reflecting the growing importance of leisure in shopping centres. The club is expected to open in December.

Xtreme Fitness Gyms will be the first space dedicated to sport and recreation at Gemini Park Tarnów. The new tenant will allow customers to combine their everyday shopping and visits to service outlets with workouts, physical activity and looking after their health and wellbeing. This new use will complement the property’s existing functions and give customers more ways to spend their time.

The centre’s development towards leisure, recreation and services reflects the changing way people use retail properties. Today’s customers expect greater variety and the opportunity to meet several needs in a single visit.

– Leisure, services and active ways to spend time are becoming increasingly important in shopping centres’ offerings, and market data confirm this. According to PROH, sales in the leisure category, which also includes fitness, rose by 7.1% year on year in the first half of 2026. We also see that fitness clubs and gyms perform very well at our other Gemini Park properties: their sales increased by an average of 11.4% in 2025 compared with the previous year. We are therefore pleased that a similar offering will also become available in Tarnów. This is more than a new tenant: it brings a new function to the centre and another way for our customers to combine shopping, services, activity and leisure in one place – says Justyna Kozioł, Senior Leasing Manager at Gemini Holding.

Nearly 1400 sq m dedicated to activity and health

Xtreme Fitness Gyms will occupy nearly 1,400 sq m at Gemini Park Tarnów. The club will offer fitness and gym facilities, complemented by related services including dietetics and physiotherapy. It will also sell food and sports products, including sports nutrition products, supplements, clothing and sports accessories.

For customers’ convenience, the club will have a dedicated entrance directly from Gemini Park Tarnów’s car park. This will also make it easier to access for those whose main reason for visiting is a workout. Free parking for the centre’s customers will provide an additional benefit.

– Tarnów holds a special place for us because this is where the Xtreme Fitness Gyms story began in 2012. We are returning to the city where it all started, but now as a brand operating on an entirely different scale. The Gemini Park location also illustrates the direction in which the fitness market is developing today. A club should be close to customers’ everyday routes and fit into the way they move around the city, whether on their way home from work, while shopping or while running other errands. That is why locations combining easy access, parking and high daily footfall are becoming increasingly important to us. This is the practical side of the convenience fitness model, which we want to develop more widely – says Filip Puchalski, Commercial Director at Xtreme Brands.

Xtreme Fitness Gyms has been steadily expanding its network in the Polish market since 2012. The brand now has more than 200 locations nationwide, making it Poland’s largest fitness club chain.
